(Margie here) – We’re just about recovered from our Las Vegas trip last week. We went for a few days before I spoke about Public Relations at the Business of Design Conference.
The conference is attended by top interior designers around the country, looking to grow their businesses. It’s produced by Designing Profits, Inc. (www.designingprofits.com) and is always sold out well in advance. Designing Profits is headed by David Shepherd, a truly amazing business person, who also puts out a terrific audio newsletter.
I really enjoyed speaking to this fun and dynamic group, and look forward to speaking to them at their next conference in Atlanta in February.
This was our (David’s and my) first experience staying in Vegas. We stayed at the Venetian, a really beautiful hotel. The food was terrific, and we even managed to catch the risque Zumanity show at New York, New York.
Our favorite spot was the Canyon Ranch Spa Club at the Venetian. The spa food was low calorie and superb, and it was the only truly non-smoking place we found in Vegas (my asthmatic lungs felt much better there).
Vegas truly is a convention town, though, and we can see why. You can get everything you need there.
