Squidoo – Charity and Business Thoughts

I went to open up my typepad blog account and featured on the home page was featured blogger Seth Godin, marketer, and creator of the new Web site Squidoo (www.squidoo.com).  It allows people to share their expertise with others.  The interesting part is that Google Ad words show up on viewed pages, so you can make money or donate money to a charity.

I’m not sure what I’ll get out of this, but I think Seth Godin is above board, and I’m always looking for new P.R. opportunities, so I included info on this blog and on our Web site, www.zfpr.com.

However, it makes perfect sense for a charity to sign up to receive donations. I looked up the list of charities and donated my money to the Humane Society of the U.S. I was looking for the American Cancer Society and didn’t see it.  Any charity that wants to receive donations just has to sign up on the site.

If anyone has thoughts on Squidoo feel free to respond here, thanks.
