Great Example of Public Relations Through Gift Wrap

Posted January 6, 2008 by Margie Zable Fisher

A few days ago I went to a toy store that many of my friends had been raving about – Learning Express, in

Boca Raton, FL.  I had to get a baby shower gift and wanted to get a few things for my daughter.

I almost missed the store because it was so small, but I was amazed at the cool stuff when we got inside. My favorite part of the experience was when they wrapped the baby shower gift.  Actually, the fact that they wrap any gift is great.  Then when I saw the wrapping, I was totally impressed.  It was obviously made for the company.  It was colorful and fun, but the best part was that it had their name, Learning Express Toys, on the paper a few times within the pattern.  Then they have a To and From self-stick gift tag with Learning Express on it that they put on.

I’ll have this gift for a few weeks, until the shower, so I’ll be reminded of the store any time I look at the paper.  And everyone at the shower will have a chance to see the gift before it’s opened — with the name of the toy store on it, which will brand the store name in the minds of everyone at the shower. Maybe other places do this, but I’ve never seen this kind of branding with gift wrap and gift tags.  Brilliant!
