New Postal Rates Offer Opportunities for Internet Marketing Companies

Posted May 7, 2007 by admin

As I have said many times, when something changes (usually negatively), there is always someone who benefits.

The postal rate increase on May 14 has many in the direct marketing industry up in arms (see article at http://www.dmnews.com/cms/dm-news/shows-assns/40933.html)

But in the same article, it’s noted that there is a great deal of interest in e-mail marketing, and Internet marketing.

For those who are in the e-mail marketing and Internet marketing industries, now is the time to offer workshops and get publicity opportunities related to the postage increase.

There are some awesome direct marketers around and It’s interseting to see some of these direct marketers bringing their skills online, it’s even more interesting to see internet marketers try offline marketing. The cost of post for offline marketers is horrendous and can break a campaign that would have succeeded online, so pretty soon internet marketing will be the norm. Until they find a way to charge for email drops!
