A Dental Office With Its Act Together
Posted January 29, 2007 by Margie Zable FisherLast week I went to a new dentist, Dr. Kissin. I only went because my current dentist couldn’t get a crown on my tooth.
My Mom goes to Dr. Kissin and says he’s “the best”. He went to Harvard and Yale, put dental implants in a 90-year-old woman, etc.
I didn’t really want to go to him because my Mom said he didn’t take insurance. But I really wanted this tooth fixed, so I went.
His office staff was very pleasant, especially the office manager, Norma. When I was called to go in a few minutes later, every single person in the office greeted me.
A few minutes later Dr. Kissin came in. He took a quick look at my tooth, his assistant took an X-ray, and he soon pronounced that he would “have no problem putting a strong crown” on my tooth.
I asked him about the cost, and he told me that the office would submit my paperwork to the dental insurance company and that they would reimburse me, probably around 50% of the cost.
He then said if money was an issue he didn’t need to do the full exam and X-rays that he normally does with a new patient, since I just needed this one tooth fixed. And then said if I liked his work maybe I’d want to come back as an ongoing patient.
I made an appointment right then and there for the crown, and walked away very impressed with the experience.
Two days later I got a letter in the mail from Dr. Kissin welcoming me to the practice. He also included a business card that fit into special inserts on his letterhead (as a P.R. person, I thought this was awesome).
All in all, I am very impressed with Dr. Kissin, and he hasn’t even done any dental work on me yet! For more information on Dr. Kissin, located in Delray Beach, FL, visit www.palmbeachdentistry.com.

So..did you ask where he got his stationary? That is a great idea to have the card attached…
Just got the info in. The firm that printed Dr. Kissin’s stationery with the business card slits is Owen Business Systems at 18006341876 in Deerfield Beach, FL. Ask for Joan. Say Norma (Dr. Kissin’s Office Manager) recommended that you call.
Oops - I found out that the Office Manager actually uses something called Card-It (http://www.card-it.com/) to punch business card slots into stationery and anything else. So the printer had nothing to do with it.
